an interplanetary space mission was launched towards Kepler-42b. Humanity has found solutions to many physics problems and has overcome the limits of interplanetary travel and communication across the universe. The human race have sent a space colony mission containing half of humanity's best minds and talents in all field of study and professions. Half of humanity's treasures. This is a one way trip voyage meant for Kepler-42b. The Colony ship is named after the destination planet and is called Kepler 42.
, a year before the current date, Kepler 42 colony ship stopped all communications. There were no signs of danger both cosmic or scientific. The hope of humanity suddenly just disappeared without a trace.
Part of humanity's lesson is that no matter how tragic or how hard something is to comprehend, we shall set out to find out and investigate what has happened to our first ever colony ship. This has always been the best way to move forward and progress, with added precautionary measures on top of the cosmic level of precautionary measures that were already in place, we have once again sent humans towards Kepler-42b, but this time, it wasn't a colony ship.

In all of human history, we have experienced countless wars, conquered and conquerors, countless rise and fall of civilizations and we have been through many close calls in driving ourselves to extinction. Some time in our recent history, we have all aligned to have a pact both signed and unwritten by all civilizations from all cultures and nations on the planet.
This pact states that if a nation no matter how dire the situation is, will first ask for help from all other nations in the planet for aid, regardless of how small or big, how helpless or powerful the subject nation is or the nations they are asking help for, and every nation is obligated to give help no matter how small or big but most especially if they have what was needed by the subject nation without any strings attached. Every single decision is overseered by representing bodies from each nation, and every single resolution is live-streamed and ensured to be seen by all people from all nations in any form of media.
We called this "Der Pact de la Planeta". "The pact of the planet" in mixed languages.
This is the same pact that allowed humanity to solve countless complex physics, mathematics, biology, and scientific problems. It is also the same pact that allowed the human race to create and achieve interplanetary exploration and communication in as little time as possible.
Kepler 42, the colony mission headed for the planet Kepler-42b is the first ever space colony mission that was created and we have put half our eggs in that one basket. It was a big risk that we have all unanimously agreed upon during the years of its planning. And now once again all of humanity unanimously agreed to investigate as one and find out what has happened to our colony.
By this point in time, the human race have figured out how to build structures and factories outside the atmosphere. This is what made it possible to create terrestrial vehicles such as the ones used to travel to and from the planets in our own and in nearby solar systems. This was also the process used to create Kepler 42, the colony ship. It was built in outerspace, it was so large it can cover 1/5th of the moon's surface has it's own ecosystem, and could house millions of organic life indefinitely.
At the same time, this was also the same process that was used to manufacture the one that will find and investigate the missing colony ship. We have created in ourterspace humanity's first ever intergalactic Warship. We called it "Terratoria". It is named after the words "Terra" which means earth, and "Victoria" which is the only ship that survived the circumnavigation of the planet during the times of Magellan. This ship with all of the technology and ability to produce more technology coupled with more upgrades than the colony ship, is the flagship of planet earth. Its first mission is to survey and find out what happened to Kepler 42, despite that, it is ready for War.
Among the technologies developed by humans, one of them is called Rapid Iterating Photons or R.I.P., which is basically a beefed up but controlled nuclear fission that is leagues beyond the best nuclear fission processes known to mankind. This is a more efficient way of producing energy, and have outproduced any previous nuclear fission ever invented.
Most of the functionalities of the flaghsip Terratoria uses different kinds of energy production and efficiency from all our history, but the core engine that makes it possible to run indefinitely is thanks to the R.I.P., it is also the same technology, powering the weapons of the battleship and its fighter ships.
The Terratoria houses factories that can rapidly produce smaller terrestrial vehicles including ones that could gather resources from nearby planets and satellites if need be. It also produces the best fighter spacecrafts that any organic lifeform on earth have ever witnessed.
These fighter ships are designed to be driven at extreme rates by a single pilot, and are the most advanced terrestrial vehicles when it comes to maneuverability and control. They are piloted by some of the best pilots we have during this time. This first batch of these fighter ships is known to the human race as Quasar 1.
In space, shape doesn't matter when it comes to travel speed. There is no air resistance, and it is all based on momentum. As long as you have enough power to provide enough momentum, you can go as fast as your power source will let you. Smaller ships, can be propelled with less power, compared to larger ships. This is why we have fighter ships guarding, guiding, and surveying the surroundings of the mothership Terratoria.
Each one of these fighter ships requires precise and immediate interaction with the pilot in order to perform at its maximum capacity. And at this point in our history, humanity has produced the best pilots with the best technologies ever.
Powered by the R.I.P. (Rapid Iterating Photons), the engine and the weapons of the fighter ships is responsible for the security of our race. One of the side effects of using the R.I.P. in weaponry is that it emits a specific glow that looks like laser blasts. It is a happy accident that humanity never tried to fix, but just did our best to further understand.
In old aircraft cockpits, buttons have different colors. It makes sense to do this so that it is easier for the human brain to differentiate where is which button and which button is where. We developed the process of coloring these R.I.P. beams for weaponries in order to easily determine to whom it came from, making it easier for the brain to process who is the ally in the vicinity. In other words, we have created laser blasts with colors.
On top of using the R.I.P. for powering the engine and the weapons, we have also discovered that we can use it as a defense feature for the spacecrafts for faster than light speed travel. We have purposely enveloped the outer skins of the space crafts, the Terratoria, the scout ships, the surveyor ships, the harvester ships, the extractor ships, the scavenger ships, and of course the fighter ships. These coating are colored and serves the same purpose as the colored R.I.P. beams from the weapons. To easily determine who is who during very fast movements and maneuvers.
The universe is a very unexpected place to fly through, there may or may not be intelligent life forms out there but at this point we have experienced so much that the thought of other intelligent beings is not too farfetched.
The formation they use is similar to an unlinked chain where every other ship is on the opposing side. It preserves the advantage and covers as much space with as little manpower as possible. This also allows them to easily replace the lead fighter ship by whoever is in the chain. Every single fighter pilot has the same competence and skills to lead the fleet which is also an advantage for when the lead ship is incapacitated.
These are the first ever most advanced fighter vehicles of human kind, and the ones piloting these fighter ships are known as Fighternauts.
Kepler-42b is about 4 light years away from earth. The fastest speed that Kepler 42 colony ship was around 0.43c which is roughly 44% of the speed of light. During the 8 years since its departure, the technology of earth have developed at an inconceivably rapid pace and have discovered ways to travel over 5 times the speed of light. This makes it possible for Terratoria and its fleet to reach the same sector where the colony ship coordinates were last recorded in just 8 months.
At around 3.5 light years into the sector near the destination planet, the fleet have detected signatures of unnatural extraterrestrial activities. They have detected traces of chemicals that could only be produced by chemical reactions from traditional manmade thrusters. These faint signatures emanate from a very large portion of the sector which indicates space capable vehicles have been here.
The only problem is that humanity only had one ship in recorded history that ever reached here, the missing colony ship. The traces show signs of thousands.
